A very well known and valuable species for its content, variety, fragrance and phytotherapeutic virtues is Mentha piperita L. The grass and leaves are rich in volatile oil - the active ingredient, vitamins B3, C, D, E, tannins, flavonoids, polyphenols, etc. The results of the study are exposed to traditional mint sources: Krasnodarskaia-2, Simferopolskaia-200, Moskvicika, Nistru-310 and new ones obtained by exchange with other scientific centers - Mitcham of Egypt, Mitcham of USA, Citral, Bergamot and the new variety UsIgen. Of the more than 10 varieties studied, the Krasnodarskaia-2 „cold mint” variety stood out, which achieved the highest production of raw materials and leaves - 13.88 t/ha and 2694 kg / ha respectively. The Prilukskaia-6 variety produced 7.87 t/ha of raw material and 639 kg / ha of leaves. Mitcham type provenances - from Egypt and USA - 6.69 and 6.13 t/ha raw material and leaves 16.73, 1544 kg/ha respectively. They are highlighted by the pronounced anthocyanin color of the leaves and stems and by an exceptional aroma of the raw material and volatile oil, which is considered a quality standard on the world market. For the production of volatile oil for medicinal purposes, as a source of menthol were highlighted Simferopolskaia-200, Moskvicika, Nistru-310, UsIgen type „menthol” and Krasnodarskaia-2 type „cold mint”, which achieved 72-85 kg/ha volatile oil. For flavored teas the most promising varieties through the production of Folium with exceptional flavors are Mitcham from Egypt, Mitcham from the USA, Bergamot and traditional Krasnodarskaia-2, which made (1193-2694 kg/ha). |
