Cele mai vechi nivele culturale ale sitului arheologic „Primorsky Bul`var” din Odesa sunt reprezentate de straturile antice, ce aparțin la două grupuri cronologice: apoikia arhaică (a doua jumătate a secolului VI - începutul secolului V a. Chr.), descoperită în apropierea Palatului Vorontsov, și sectorul mai târziu al așezării (secolele V-III a. Chr.), identificat în partea de sud-vest a bulevardului. Dinspre stradela Teatralny (Teatrului), cu așezarea se învecina o necropolă. Judecând după unele descoperiri din perioada epocii romane, se poate presupune că aici a existat și o așezare din primele secole ale erei noastre. Evul Mediu este reprezentat de descoperiri doar în partea de nord a bulevardului, unde s-au identificat straturi datate cu secolul al XIV-lea, afectate de construcții ulterioare. Numeroasele descoperiri din această perioadă, posibil, reprezintă vestigiile factoriei Ginestra sau ale unui mic punct de tranzit, amplasat pe drumul ce lega regiunea Niprului Inferior cu cel mai apropiat oraș din acea vreme, Akcha-Kermen (Belgorod). Perioada otomană (secolele XVI-XVIII) este reprezentată de o varietate de descoperiri, recuperate pe toată suprafața cercetată a bulevardului. Concentrarea artefactelor în partea de sud este asociată cu existența unei infrastructurii urbane din Khadzhibey, în cele din partea de nord – cu fortificația. Cercetările arheologice au condus la descoperirea pe faleză a unui terasament nepavat, utilizat în sec. al XVIII-lea ca element bastionar pentru artilerie. Fundațiile fortificației arhaice din piatră erau situate în zona aleilor de pe bulevard, vizavi de casele nr. 5-6, identificarea cărora continuă până în prezent.

The earliest cultural layers of the “Primorsky Boulevard” archeological site in Odessa are represented by antique strata in two places: archaic settlement (second half of the 6th century – beginning of the 5th century BC) near the Vorontsov Palace and a later part of the settlement (5th-3rd centuries BC) in the southwestern part of the boulevard. From the side of Teatralny Lane, a necropolis adjoined the settlement. There may have been some population here in the first centuries of our era, judging by the rare finds of the Roman time. The era of the Middle Ages is represented by finds only in the northern part of the boulevard, where layers of the 14th century spread, which were disturbed by subsequent construction. Apparently, numerous finds of this period represent the Ginestra trading station or some small intermediate point on the way from the lower Dnieper region to the large, nearest at that time, the city Akcha-Kermen (Belgorod). The Ottoman period (16th-18th centuries) is represented by a variety of finds that are found throughout the boulevard. In its southern part, their increased concentration is associated with the existence of the urban infrastructure of Khadzhibey, in the northern – with its fortifications. Excavations uncovered an unpaved, coastal embankment of the second half of the 18th century, used as an artillery wallgang. The foundations of an archaic stone castle were located in the area of boulevard alleys opposite houses No. 5-6, the search for which continues to this day.
