Rezumat

In a herd of cattle of the Ukrainian brown dairy breed, studies were carried out, the purpose of which was to establish the relationship between the genotype of animals for kappa-casein and the biochemical composition of milk. Genotyping of 20 cows was carried out. Determination of polymorphism of the kappa-casein gene was carried out in the genetic laboratory of the Institute of Physiology n.a. Bogomolets of National Academy of Sciences using a molecular biological analysis of allele recognition by the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method in real time. For sampling of milk, a counter - indicator IU-1 was used. The milk sample was stored in a plastic container (25 ml) and preserved with a solution of chromopic (10% concentration) in an amount of 0.2 ml. The biochemical composition of milk was determined in the laboratory of the Institute of Animal Husbandry of NAAS using Bently equipment. It was found that the kappa-casein genotype did not significantly affect the biochemical composition of milk, but at the same time, animals with the BB genotype were distinguished by a high content of protein and casein in milk. In terms of fat content in milk, cows with genotypes AA and AB had an advantage. Further research can be expanded by studying the technological properties of milk from animals of different genotypes.
