Rezumat

The article considers the trends in the evolution of the migration processes on the materials of the Autonomous Territorial Unit Gagauz-Yeri. The consideration of these processes in the context of the socio-cultural transformations of the Gagauz society helped to reveal aspects of their interaction. The transformation of the traditional society has reduced the value of the personal connections. The collectivization and the industrialization, the establishment of regional structures contributed to the urbanization. The accessibility of secondary and higher education has led to the involvement of the villagers in the urbanization processes. Democratization and transition to market relations has increased the importance of private initiative and contributed to the intensification of migration processes. The scope of the migration processes is one of the features of the globalization. A feature of the Gagauz society is that this society has managed to take the advantage of the migration, as the Gagauzes are very artificial in the using of the private initiative. However, the scope of migration is dangerous for this society.
