Rezumat

The paper presents the results obtained with the product BIOLEN IS 80. BIOLEN IS 80 represents a biological activator, based on selected bacteria used in the treatment of waste waters from the pulp and paper industry. The conclusion of the trials is that a better result is obtained for BIOLEN IS 80 application on waste waters from paper manufacturing (diminishing of BOD with 39.8% and of COD with 40% after 48 hours) comparing with treatment applied on the waste water from pulp manufacturing. The experiments underlined the degradation of the organo sulfurated compounds (without sulfurated hydrogen emission and sulfur formation), with influences on the corrosion reduction. We could conclude that the utilization of the product BIOLEN IS 80 represents an alternative to the biological treatment of the active sludge.
