Rezumat

As known, membrane technologies play a major role in decision of water ecological problems associated with the supply of fresh water and with protection of water sources from pollution by contaminated waste waters. In spite of achievements in the study of mechanisms and antifouling techniques, membrane fouling and fouling control remain the most serious challenge in membrane filtration of natural and industrial waste waters. Different techniques, traditional and novel ones, are developed and improved to control fouling. This paper is devoted to substantiation and realization of one of antifouling mechanisms, which plays the dominant role in the use of protective coverings onto the membranes to control fouling in situ in reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration treatment of different kinds of highly contaminated waters.
