Actual problems in the Moldavian fine arts’ development. Actuality of fine arts, based on modern problems, can be revealed while comparing it with the cultural heritage of the past. So, the living characteristic qualities of the heritage are able to create a tradition. But – from another side – not every new problem can really become innovating one for the fine arts’ development. Thus, during the first post-war decade the engagement of ideas and modern subjects were not a guarantee for innovating significance of the works. In the art works of 1960s, based on realism with its lifelike images, there could be often found such significations of symbol that represented the eternal ethic values. Some interesting results were being achieved on the way of synthesis of the professional plastic culture with aesthetic basics of folk arts. From 1970s, the perception of the world of such progressive painters as M. Grecu, V. RusuCiobanu becomes increasingly complex and gives birth to some ideas that have changed the sense and aesthetics of their new works. The subjective world of the images created by other painters becomes more acute too. In the art of the post-soviet Moldova there could be seen some tendencies towards modern innovations and towards materialization of the national cultural heritage, they also being under the negative influence of such phenomenon as market and craze. So, only the future will show what new tendencies of the actual artistic process could become a tradition, fruit-full for the whole art.

Probleme actuale ale dezvoltării artelor plastice din Moldova. Contemporaneitatea artei cu problematica sa actuală se relevă în comparație cu tezaurul cultural al perioadelor anterioare. Particularitățile viabile ale patrimoniului devin tradiții. Pe de altă parte, nu toate sarcinile noi sunt capabile să devină novatorii, fructuoase pentru dezvoltarea artei. Astfel, în primul deceniu postbelic ideile angajate și noutatea subiectelor nu au garantat ponderea inovatoare a lucrărilor. În anii ‘60 se păstrează baza realismului – chipul legat de viață – deseori lucrările obținând semnificații simbolice, întruchipând valori morale perene. Pe fundalul sintezei culturii plastice profesionale și bazelor estetice ale artei populare au fost obținute rezultate interesante. Din anii ‘70 viziunea cosmogonică complexă a maeștrilor progresiști – Mihai Grecu, Valentina Rusu-Ciobanu – duce spre idei, care au revoluționat semiotica și estetica noilor lucrări. Se intensifică și subiectivitatea viziunii mai multor plasticieni. În arta Republicii Moldova coabitează aspirațiile pentru inovațiile contemporane și valorificarea patrimoniului cultural, se resimte impactul negativ al modei și pieței. Pe parcursul anilor se determină ce anume din inovațiile procesului artistic actual poate deveni tradiție, utilă pentru viitorul artei.
