Road transport involves social relations and generates a very important activity. The transport system should lead to satisfaction, always contributing to the growth of the economic, social and environmental welfare. At the same time, according to statistics, road transport is one of the most dangerous and costly in terms of life and money. Thus, road safety is an issue of great interest. Road safety on public roads in Romania is low compared to the international standards. The fatality rate is more than twice than the EU average. Given that road accidents becomes a real problem economically it is required the European harmonization of the registration and evaluation of accidents involving injury.
