A disability legislation based on human rights acts as a ”civilizing factor" in any society that respects diversity and aims to create a society that is really The adoption and entry into force of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD)marks a profound change in the existing approaches on disability. Public policies must take into account the obligations arising under the paradigm shift from the medical to the social approach based on human rights and the principles and general obligations, provided the CRPD.
