The article provides an overview on anesthetic assistance of patients with cancer of the uterine cervix in association with pregnancy at term. In order to minimalize the negative drug effects on the fetus, the Ist surgical stage (Cesarean operation) is proposed to be protected by local-regional (epidural) anesthesia, but the IInd stage (Whertheim operation) includes total intravenous anesthesia with artificial lung ventilation. This anesthetic approach assures fetus viability and adequate anesthesia during the radical oncogynecological operation.
