In an era of liberation from historical constraints, that marked crucially the Romanian territory from the left side of Prut, and the revival of the national consciousness one of the imperial aspirations to which the Bessarabian literature is aspiring is to return to the roots, to the matrix that was abusively torn in the long night of alienation and the integration of creative writing within the entire Romanian national culture. Today the contacts between the representatives of the two literatures are becoming even more tangible and fruitful generating a mobility of talents, an increase of intercultural exchange in this direction. These terms explain the fact that contemporary authors as Leo Butnaru, Emilian Galaicu- Păun, Arcadie Suceveanu, Teo Chiriac, Vitalie Ciobanu, Călina Trifan, Dumitru Crudu were integrated into Romanian literary life of today. About Bessarabian classics you can not say that, for now. Few of those who, over time, have been recognized from the left side of Prut, as exponential writers, penetrated into national literary consciousness although Romanian exegesis knows that some of them have a definite aesthetic value and personal destinies that would deserve a moral and artistic assessment. |
