A cluster is a geographic concentration of interconnected companies, suppliers and associated organizations in a particular field. The concept of clustering is becoming increasingly popular in tourism, which is evidenced by the constantly growing number of co-operative links joining together different entities involved both directly and indirectly in offering tourist products and services. Tourism cluster-accumulation of tourist resources and attractions, infrastructures, equipments, service companies, other supporting sectors and administrative organism whose integrated and coordinated activities allow to provide the customers with the experience they expect from the destination they choose to visit. Tourism is becoming an increasingly important sector for many world economies; therefore the tourism cluster is the best model for the development of innovative tourism products in a region. |
