A significant role in the development of the Moldovan composition school belongs to Ghenadie Ciobanu – a remarkable personality who has made a great contribution to the consolidation, amplification and modernization of the traditions of composition art. Through his didactic work, Ghenadie Ciobanu transmits to his students the experience gained during his activity as a composer and President of UCMM, his creative activity and compositional talent being combined with an open vision towards modernity. The disciples took over from the master the knowledge necessary for their multiple professional activities – composing music, creating musical arrangements, organizing projects at national and international level, involvement in teaching work, etc. Although everyone steps on an individual path in music, still most of his disciples are characterized by certain common professional features, taken over, certainly, from the master. From a deontological point of view, we emphasize his honest and serious attitude towards the profession, the sustained interest in modern compositional art, the desire to broaden his professional erudition, his interest in several branches of the profession and its realization in the didactic, creative, interpretative and managerial aspects etc. Naturally, Gh. Ciobanu has become an example for the generation of young composers, contributing to their continuous improvement. The fruitful results obtained by Ghenadie Ciobanu in the field of teaching composition prove that he has formed his own school, thus being one of the main exponents of the process of consolidating the traditions of composition art in the Republic of Moldova today
