In the field of education, each country in the European Union is responsible for its education and training systems, with the EU’s policy being designed to support national measures and to help address common challenges such as aging, lack of workers skilled, technological developments or global competition. The framework for cooperation in education and training has the generic title „Education and Training 2020”. More and more research and innovation are taking place in the partner countries, so it is crucial that Europe has access to the best researchers and the best research centers in the world. This provides not only sources of new ideas and expertise, but also the possibility for European researchers to work together with the best experts in the field at global level. Specific international cooperation activities are included in societal challenges, in generic and industrial technologies and other relevant sections of the Horizon 2020 program. |
