The efficiency of hormonal schemes for sexual activity stimulation based on application of vaginal sponge with cronolone had been studied by results of a lambing of anestrous Ascanian Merino sheep. Among 5 investigated schemes the best result was received for addition of sponge influence by PMSG (500 IO, at day prior to sponge withdrawal), substances with estrogenic (0.1% solutions, 1 ml and 0,5 ml at day of an insert and day of withdrawal) and neurotropic (0.05% solution, 1 ml at day of insert) actions, and progesterone (2.5% solution, 1ml at day of sponge withdrawal) too. Appling only sponges allowed to obtain 2.7% animal lambed, after additional injection of Gn-RH (15 IU) at next day after sponge withdrawal – 30%. After additional treatment of sheep with substance of estrogenic action at day of sponge insert in the scheme with combined application of sponge and Gn-RH the portion of lambed animals decreased to 10%. After double estrogen injections (in the beginning and end of sponge action) cases of lambing is not received |
