There have been four years from signing the EU-Moldova Association Agreement since the Republic of Moldova is trying to achieve the requested goals in order to not affect the implementation of its measures. So far, the process of integration of the Republic of Moldova into the European Union seems to be a very difficult one. Positive results are still awaited. People feel that unemployment has not fallen, industry and infrastructure remain underdeveloped, and other issues that are rather negative than positive. Instead, we, the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, want an economically, politically and socially harmonized country with the European Union legislation. From the description mentined above, we can draw the conclusion that the situation concerning the adeherence of the Republic of Moldova is too far away. Talking about the regional development policy, its general objective is to reduce the discrepancies between different regions. But each EU member state has put it into practice according to its historical evolution, the quality of the responsible institutions, etc., and depending on how they used the planning tools and the financial instruments to increase the standard of livingof the whole country. |
