After the famous Geiger-Marsden experiment (in 1909), inspirated by Ernest Rutherford, this genius of the physics of the last century theoretized (in 1911) that atoms have their positive charge concentrated in a very small nucleus and pioneerated the planetary
model of the atom. The aim of our paper is to celebrate, after a century, this very important moment from the history of physics. |
