В данной работе рассматривается вопрос о присоединении к Российской империи земель Речи Посполитой в конце XVIII столетия в результате так называемых трех этапов «польского раздела»; исследуются принципы государственной политики России на присоединенных территориях, поднимается вопрос о свободе вероисповедания, так как на данных землях проживали представители разных конфессий. В связи с тем, что процесс присоединения осуществлялся не только политическими методами, отмечается, что это приводило к многочисленных кровопролитным восстаниям. Особое внимание обращается на положение еврейского населения, для которого была введена «черта оседлости».

The given article examines the issue of the accession of the lands of the Commonwealth to the Russian Empire at the end of the 18th century as a result of the so-called three stages of the «Polish division»; the principles of the state policy of Russia in the annexed territories are investigated, the question of freedom of religion is raised, since representatives of different confessions lived on these lands. Due to the fact that the process of accession was carried out not only by political methods, it is noted that this led to numerous bloody rebellions. Special attention is paid to the position of the Jewish population, for which the Pale of Settlement was introduced.
