<description xml:lang='en' descriptionType='Abstract'><p>This paper proposes a solution for the management of the pills, which is composed by a desktop application and an electronic kit integrated into a pill box. The software solution is able to receive and to send information from/to the peripheral equipment, to store the information into a database, and to display all the actions performed by the user. Through the desktop interface, the user, which can be a patient or a nurse, can set his alarms at fixed hours by filling in the corresponding fields. Also, the application has the functionality to display all the alarms registered by the user, providing a history of the alarms.</p></description>
