The authors report their own experience in surgical treatment of 20 patients with antero-inferior recurrent dislocation of the humeral head using their modified method of the Bristow–Latarget procedure. The osteotomised base coracoid process is placed on the scapular neck at the glenoid margin in continuity with its articular surface, protecting the humeral head from an accelerated athrosic process. The positive results of the procedure enable the authors to recomend the modification for general use.

Предложена оригинальная методика операции Bristow-Latarget в лечении привычного вывиха плеча. Использована анатомическая вогнутость клювовидного отростка, соответствующая конфигурации передне-нижнего края суставной поверхности лопатки, куда он пересаживается. Описана хирургическая техника и результаты лечения 20 больных. Отдаленные результаты оценены по шкале Rowe от 80 до 93 баллов, без рецидивов.
