The total catch of amateur fishermen at the Dniester reservoir is estimated at 250-350 tons per year, which is 2.7-3.8 times higher than the limits for commercial fishing in 2015 and 2016. The species composition of fishing catches is represented by 22 species, but the most common are 5 –bream, roach, prussian carp and perch, the total proportion of which is more than 95%. The average body weight of specimens taken by amateur fishermen for most species corresponds to immature individuals, which requires the increased attention of regulatory services to observe the provisions of the Rules of amateur and sport fishing. |
