The gene pool of covered – ground plants of the Botanical Garden (I) of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.. During a period of 40 years a unique collection of plant has been created in the Botanical Garden of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova. It comprises 2498 taxa, grouped in 130 families and 538 genera. The gene pool of covered – ground plants is distributed at the moment in 6 greenhouses with a total area of 2160 m 2. Established collections play an important role in the ecological education of the population, in the teaching – educational process and in completing the assortment of plants used for greening of spaces with various destinations. |
