Rezumat

In this research there were analyzed cDNA (ESTs) of the cytosolic peroxiredoxin of several species of Solonaceae family, with the aim to represent for the fi rst time their protein coding sequences. For tomato were found two possible mRNA of PRX and one type of mRNA for tobacco, potato and S. chacoense, respectively. The putative PRX has Mw = 17 kDa in case of tomato, potato and tobacco and 18 kDa in case of S. chacoense. All analyzed PRX proteins seems to be conserved. The phylogenetic tree analysis showed the highest similarity of Solonaceae PRX proteins to PRX type II B of Arabidopsis.
