In the article land resources in Republic of Latvia on 01.01.2011 are analyzed, as well as its changes during the Land Reform. The largest part of types of land use in territory of Latvia is occupied by forests – 45,9 %, but in the second place is agricultural land – 37,6 %. Though in land distribution according to groups of purposes of use of real property, group named „Land for Agriculture” has the greatest proportion, that makes 59,9% of total area registered in National Real Estate Cadastre Information System, although it is decreased in the recent years. Analyzing agricultural land, the research showed, that in rural areas small land properties and land uses are dominated and its average area is 8,0 ha.
