Through its consecutive reforms, the Common Agricultural Policy accentuated the agriculture’s market orientation, assuring the producers an income help, enhanced the integration of environmental requirements and consolidated the support for rural development as an integrated policy for the development of rural areas of the entire EU. This reform process generated demands concerning a better support distribution between and within the EU member states, as well as a better orientation of the measures designed to approach the challenges concerning the environment and to reluct against the rising volatility of markets. In the present paper, the authors plan to analyse the priorities followed through the commune agricultural policy of the EU in the immediate period 2014-2020.
