Maintaining researching separation from higher education institutions from those of ASM institutes, is a practice inherited in the Republic of Moldova from Soviet totalitarian regime. It is a backlog with negative consequences for society. Although such a separation, especially in the conditions of the research-funding deficit, has resulted and continues to result in a low efficiency, both in the conduct and in academic researches, the necessary reform of the estimation has not been successful. Due to the insufficient remuneration of the professional-didactic staff, the created scientific potential has diminished a lot, revealing the question of the possibility of maintaining the continuity, more or less normal, of these activities.Urgent measures are needed to Europeanize the process of university education and research through their integration, with the emphasis on attracting young people from the Republic of Moldova, who have graduated from the prestigious universities, into these activities.
