Rezumat

From the point of view of the legal provisions, it is expressly stated that the purposes of the appeal in the interest of the law are the unitary interpretation and application of criminal law and criminal procedure. However, considering this institution in terms of its complexity, it is obvious that besides the two purposes expressly stated in the law, the recourse in the interest of the law ensures the observance of the principle of legal certainty. Notwithstanding its importance for the whole edifice of the state of law, the stated principle does not find an explicit reflection either at the level of the international acts or in the internal legislation, being developed and consecrated by way of jurisprudence. Legal security is a manifestation of the right to individual security with the aim of protecting it from the negative effects of the law. By its very nature, this principle is intended to ensure a secure, stable, clear, predictable social relationship.
