Articolul prezintă modelul învățământului centrat pe student, urmărind consecutive descrierea fundamentelor istorico-conceptuale, a bezelor, principiilor, beneficiilor acestei forme noi solicitate de contemporaneitate. Autorul prezintă rolul instituției, cadrelor didactice și al studentului în învățământul centrat pe student, expune opinii privind mijloacele care asigură eficiența acestui model. Optând pentru o învățare colaborativă, autorul definește învățământul centrat pe student în cheia celei mai eficiente metode de utilizare și sporire a resurselor inteligente în procesul de formare a competențelor scontate de programele universitare.

The article presents the model of student-centered education, pursuing consecutively the description of the historical-conceptual foundations, of the basics, of the principles, of the benefits of this new form demanded by contemporaneity. The author presents the role of the institution, the teachers and the student in the student-centered education, presents opinions on the means that ensure the efficiency of this model. Opting for collaborative learning, the author defines student-centered education as the key to the most efficient method of using and enhancing intelligent resources in the process of training the competences expected by the university programs.
