The article focuses on our review regarding the changes occurring in adolescence at teenagers such as physical, biological, social and cognitive changes. The most important subject of the investigational interest was the developmental role of the individuation and of autonomy achievement. The study includes a large description about the main role in adolescence – achieving identity. Relying on Erikson and Mercier Theory, we have critisized the developmental model of Mercier proposing our point of view on the stages of identity achievement.  

Articolul conține o analiză aferentă a schimbărilor ce au loc în adolescență, precum schimbările fizice, biologice, sociale și cognitive. Cel mai important subiect de investigare reprezintă rolul de dezvoltare a individualității pentru dobîndirea autonomiei. Studiul cuprinde descrierea detaliată a rolului major în adolescență– dobîndirea identității. Luând ca bază teoria lui Erikson și Mercier, noi am criticat model de devoltare a lui Mercier și am înaintat punctul nostru de vedere asupra etapelor de dobîndire a identității.
