The research of the integrationist processes within the European Union and of their various forms of manifestation determined the formulation of several theoretical approaches. The authors will try to demonstrate that European integration can be characterized as a response reaction of the European Union to the challenges of the international system. The initiation of integration processes in the field of security and common defense will be analyzed in the light of theoretical visions and founding treaties of the European Union. The content of the article presents the premises, context and prospects of the cooperation of the Republic of Moldova with the European Union in the context of the Common Security and Defense Policy. |
