The article presents a fragment of a study regarding value orientations at the age of adolescence. There are described conceptions of authors who have thoroughly researched the value orientations in different periods. According to them, the main content of the value orientations are the beliefs and feelings of a person, certain moral principles of behavior, material and spiritual needs along with the conditions for their satisfaction, and significant aspects of the objective and social world for the individual; reflects particularities related to the status of the person in society, in a certain social group, influencing the ability to meet personal needs. The results regarding the hierarchies of value orientations established at this age according to the gender criterion will contribute to an efficient education of adolescents from the perspective of values. |
