Rezumat

Diabetes is a chronic health condition in which the human body has the difficulty absorbing and using carbohydrates from the diet. Most of the eaten food is broken down into sugar (glucose) and released into bloodstream. Insulin (pancreatic hormone) acts like a key to let the blood sugar into the body’s cells for use as energy. In case of Diabetes, the pancreas either doesn’t make enough insulin or the body can’t use the insulin it makes as it should. A balanced diet, designed according to the health of the individual, is a primary condition that keeps diabetes under control. Healthy cooking techniques should be the one preferred by the diabetes: boiling, baking, and steaming, also they should avoid frying and cooking over an open fire. Regular consumption of fruits and vegetables reduces the risk of developing type 2 diabetes by preventing obesity and providing the body with the necessary antioxidants and nutrients that protect the body against diabetes.
