Consumul de droguri printre adolescenți şi copii este o problemă medico-pedagogică actuală. În profilaxia şi depistarea la timp a consumatorilor de droguri şi alte substanțe cu efect stupefiant printre elevii instituțiilor de învățământ preuniversitar sunt obligate să participe toate persoanele, implicate în procesul de educație a copiilor şi adolescenților: educatorii, pedagogii, părinții, medicii. Depistarea elevilor consumatori de droguri şi altor substanțe cu efect stupefiant trebuie efectuată prin colaborarea conducerii instituțiilor de învățământ preuniversitar şi universitar cu instituții necrologice, cabinetele pentru adolescenți din policlinici şi organele de politie [6].
