În prezent, fenomenul anxietății sociale este progresiv mai des întâlnit la tinerii de vârstă adolescentă, și totuși, este un fenomen destul de precar studiat în literatura de specialitate autohtonă. Acest fenomen este definit ca fiind teama exagerată de a nu se face de râs sau de a nu fi judecat în mod negativ de ceilalți, pe care o persoană o resimte. Astfel, am dorit ca în prezenta comunicare să investigăm acest fenomen la nivelul genurilor persoanelor care resimt aceste temeri. Cu alte cuvinte, în această lucrare am cercetat diferențele de gen ale adolescenților, din eșantionul nostru, în ceea ce privește anxietatea socială.

Currently, social anxiety phenomenon is progressively more common in young adolescence, and yet is a phenomenon quite poorly studied in the native literature. This phenomenon is defined as the exaggerated fear not to embarrass or not be judged negatively by others that a person feels. Thus, we wanted to investigate phenomenon in which people experience these fears genres. In other words, in this paper we investigated gender differences in adolescents in our sample, in terms of social anxiety.
