Background. During the years of family medicine development, the population's appreciation of the performance of the primary care team was studied in several countries, but was not considered a priority in the Republic of Moldova. Objective of the study. The aim of the research was to study the attitude of the beneficiaries, depending on age and male / female, towards the activity of the family doctor's team and its performance. Material and Methods. The study was conducted by applying the questionnaire Performance evaluation of the primary care team - a research tool developed in 1998. It was applied in a face-to-face interview with adults aged 18-65 from all over the country. The methods of statistical analysis were: simple description, calculation of mean and standard deviation, t and ANOVA tests. Results. The mean values according to the age of the interviewees differ statistically significantly by the answers provided by mature adults and young adults to the compartments: B. First contact-use (F: 17.0, p: 0.000), C. Continuous care (F: 15.5 , p: 0.000), D. Service coordination (F: 45.3, p: 0.000), F. Services received (F: 63.6, p: 0.000) and G. Family focus (F: 7.5, p: 0.006). The mean values by sex differ statistically significantly through the responses provided by men and women to the compartments: B. First contact-use (F: 8.7, p: 0.003), E. Available services (F: 54.3, p: 0.000), F. Services received (F: 41.4, p: 0.000) and H. Community guidance (F: 6.3; p: 0.013). Conclusion. The evaluation of the performances of the family doctor's team by the beneficiaries differs depending on their age and sex. Mature adults (45-65 years) and women gave a higher appreciation to the performance of the family doctor's team, compared to other groups of beneficiaries in the study. |
