The current syllabi, valid from 2017-2018 onwards, are based on the eight European keycompetencies. They define the general knowledge of an adult who is flexible, able to personalize their knowledge and expand their cognitive horizons by gaining qualifications throughout their active existence in the socio-economic landscape. Romanian language is a field of study meant to create real and functional competencies that can be measured through a student‘s communication capacity, not only under a teacher‘s supervision, but also independently, integrating the three dimensions of education: formal, non-formal and informal. Newer syllabi differ drastically in their vision, starting from the student‘s rapport with the Romanian language (mother tongue or not). They also capitalize on linguistic and educational policies promoted in community spaces. The introduction of key competencies highlights life-long learning as a long term result. This way flexibility and the student‘s capacity of self-reflection can be measured using performance standards. In correlation with the pragmatic aspect of the discipline, these new factors create the graduate‘s profile. |
