Rezumat | ||||||
Even though women represent half of the world population, they often face discrimination in different areas, including at their jobs. Fostering gender equality is one of the main objectives in legislative acts of a country. Since 2010 World Bank issues a biennial publication named Women, Business and the Law. Practically a decade has passed since then, some changes are expected. Because EU countries put a great emphasis on gender equality measures and practices it was decided to analyze their progress in this domain, what similarities and differences are between EU countries in this regard, especially in recent years, if the policies have changed during these years and how, based on the data from the reports of World Bank. |
