International experience attests that IMC is seen, in present, as an effective tool for solving of many problems exist at local level and providing a high quality level of public services. In advanced existing models of IMC, local authorities have the right to determine the form of cooperation, feasibility and degree of their participation, the involvement of resources for solving problems of local communities. IMC in European countries is presented today in various models, forms and characteristics. For several years in Moldova started a comprehensive process of development of various forms of IMC. This article proposes to present what are the specific features and characteristics of IMC in Moldova and to compare these elements with models and examples internationally established.
