Current research entitled ,,Professional development of personnel: Theory and Practice” is focused on the role of education in achieving successful professional career in National Army of the Republic of Moldova. Professional development is the process, which ensures the training and further preparation through various forms of education in order to increase professional competence and the potential of military personnel during the military career.¬ The main objective of the paper was to provide an overview of current situation of the military education in Republic of Moldova, and evaluation of educational opportunities for military personnel, which includes an insight of the University studies, Master studies, PhD Studies, and short and long term trainings and specialization courses.
