| Rezumat | ||||||
The achievement of integral education involves focusing on the pupil and on the natural process of learning. To achieve this thing we have to move from the education that is based on transmitting the culture to that one which is dedicated to competence development. Competence is a need, a result wanted by everyone, while the culture and the values are only means of satisfying different needs. The development of children occurs when the competence represents the goal and the culture is the instrument, not vice verse. The difference of approach is major because the transmission of culture is a copy-paste process, while the competence development is one truly social-constructivist. |
