Rezumat

Using the example of a composite material applied in rapid prototyping (RP) technologies, the strengthening effect of various coatings is studied. It is shown that improvement of wear resistance by means of coatings is achieved not only due to formation of a harder layer but also due to the appearance of a homogeneous substance leading to variation in the character of the surface destruction.
