Rezumat

Financial issues are always going to be on the agenda of any enterprise from small and medium sized business, regardless of its profitability or market position. The main criteria that small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) usually take into account before lending their preferences to any source of financing are: the nature, maturity and economic profitability of the business. At the same time if we take a look at the economically developed states, we will see a wide range of finance sources available for SMEs, but in most states which tend to a functional market economy the ,,financing menu” is quite poor in options and extremely expensive. Thus, finance options of SMEs from the Republic of Moldova are reduced today to either use of own financing sources or use of external sources temporarily attracted by the enterprise.
