Today, the development of Moldovan-American bilateral relations is one of the key objectives of the foreign policy of the Republic of Moldova. The establishment of a strategic relationship with the U.S. and signing of the Charter of Strategic Partnership is a vital priority for the national interest of our country. The U.S. is the most powerful actor on the international arena, that  assists Moldova in such issues as building the state of law, economic reform, Transdnistrian conflict, fighting corruption and traffiking in persons. We’ve made great achievements, as a result of cooperation with the Americans through Millennium Challenge Account, Community of Democracies, but there are also a lot of major problems we should face in order to reach  a new level of Moldovan-American collaboration. We should take advantage of the trust and the support the U.S. provides to our country and remove the issues that impede the advancement of our bilateral cooperation to a strategic partnership.
