This paper covers the comparative study between air temperature and land surface temperature in the northeastern part of Romania. The study is split in two man sections; first we highlight the average values of temperature for air and land surface as being dependent of the atmospheric circulation and secondly we present the extreme events during the warm and cold seasons of the 1980-2013 period. We found that a south-western (SW), south (S) and north eastern (NE) circulation can produce a significant difference between air and land surface temperature. During the extreme events these differences can have considerable values (8 to 10°C). We consider that these differences are highly influenced by the vegetation and cloud cover and declivity. |
