This article draws attention to the role of intellectual property in a society with a market economy, as a form of property, gives a general description of the intellectual property system for its division into copyright, related rights and industrial property, which are industrial property objects. It gives a general description of the patent for invention and the benefits of patenting. It also describes the patentable objects and the exceptions to patentability, in addition it briefly states the stages through which a patent application goes with the AGEPI and what are the conditions which must meet an invention to be patentable and the requirements for a patent application. Finally, the article concludes with statistical data on granted patents and their validity in RM.
