Visual methods and traditional evidence (personal narratives) can complement each other as different types of knowledge, and the processes of watching family photos albums together allow to significantly expand or even re-create a story about the life vicissitudes and social ties of the individual. Drawing on nearly 20 years' experience of our regional center concerning private photo archives fixation, the authors have developed a clear methodology for working with family photo albums. |
