Frequently vineyard plantations are placed on sloping and sunny terrains, which ensure favourable ecological conditions. At the creation of the vineyard plantations are conducted several categories of works such as cutting down the previous crop, cleaning the terrain from stumps and branches, terrain levelling, applying phosphorous – potassium fertilizers together with manure, liming for 3-4 years on the acid soils, deep loosening or tillage. Land leveling works have some negative influence on the soil characteristics and fertility. Following these works are considerably increases the heterogeneity of soil cover. Shortly after plantations, vines growing stagnate and even are dried, especially during prolonged droughts of the summer or strong frosts of the winter. Following our investigation has revealed that some of the negative effects of land leveling can be reduced. The first phase requires the removal the fertile layer. In the next stage is performed land leveling and last stage surface and the last stage, leveled ground surface is covered with removal the fertile soil. |
