Rezumat

Silatranes, heterotricyclic compounds having an intramolecular transannular dative Si←N bond, are a unique class of pentacoordinate silicon compounds which have attracted considerable interest due to their chemistry and diverse biological activity [1,2]. The silatranyl group have stereoelectronic influence on the reactivity of the exocyclic functional group apical to the transannular bond [3]. Silatranes with different functional substituents at silicon have been prepared: CH2=CH, F, Cl, OH, NH2, SH, PH2, SiH3, aminopropyl, chloroalkyl, allyl, etc. One of the most interesting is aminopropylsilatrane due to the ease in derivatizartion of the amino group [2]. The present work presents the synthesis and characterization of some new functionalized silatranes using different aldehydes, that exhibit potential antibacterial activity. We perform a structural analysis, were the condition permited, by means of single crystal Xray diffraction. The structure of some lingands crystal has been determined.
