Rezumat | ||||||
Vocabulary teaching is one of the indispensable components of language teaching. In order to communicate with other people we should use appro-priate vocabulary, otherwise our communication will stop. Wilkins states that “without grammar very little can be conveyed, without vocabulary nothing can be conveyed” [1, p. 111]. The latest studies in the field of English Language Teaching try to prove that accuracy and fluency in English could not possibly be obtained without acquiring a rich vocabulary. This being also one of the basic principles in ESP teaching process, the paper is aimed at discussing some aspects of effective teaching of specialized vocabulary in ESP lessons. Problems of selecting, presenting, consolidating and practicing specialized vocabulary will be approached. |
