The focus of this magazine is on the friendly school for children (a concept launched by UNICEF) - a school that is focused on children, a school that activates for their benefit, promotes educational inclusion of all children, gender equity, participation of children and their families, as well of the community in the school life etc. The society of the Republic of Moldova and the implementation of the concept friendly school for children is the main idea of the articles included in the rubric QUO VADIS?: „UNICEF gives a new chance to our children" (Vl.Pohila), „Can gender equity be found in the friendly school for children?" (L.Handrabura). this rubric also includes a research about parents' involvement in the school life, elaborated based on a survey, carried out by V.Goras-Postica, V.Chicu, D.Cheianu, R.Bezede. The Alliance of active NGOs in the field of Social Protection of Child presents a training program related to the consolidation of the NGOs' skills in 4 domains: Children Rights, Abuse and Child Neglecting, Social services addressed to Children with special educational needs, Socio-educative activities for children, including free-time animations. The subject of the articles from the rubric INCLUSIV EU is related to the integration of children with special educational needs in general education from Moldova, edited in partnership with the Day Center „Speranta" and the Resource Center ,Inclusiv EU", the focus being on an inclusive school - one of the essential characteristics of the friendly school for children. The rubric EX CATHEDRA presents the following articles: „Network correlation as a premise of performant learning" (A.Ghicov); „Socio-cultural arguments for an educational strategy that is close to pupils" (O.Dandara, D. Pascaru); „Learning the basic vocabulary and the specilality one thro¬ugh lists and paper slips with words"(A Ixari); „Developing creative personalities in graphic arts" (O.Arbuz-Spatari); „ I.I.Gabrea. Pedagogic life and literary work." (D.Opri Vla-duca). The rubric EXERCITO, ERGO SUM presents some experiences that could improve teachers' lesson planning: „Meta-literary text - approaches" (M.Boldisor), „A school for all, a school for everyone" (L.Sclifos), „Creativity - a real challenge for the biology classes" (O.Tiganas, T.Platon); „The Waldorf School - teaching that is focused on identifying the children nature" (O.Munteanu). The article fro the rubric DEVELOPING CRITICAL THINKING consists of some suggestions for using Reading and Writing for Developing Critical Thinking during some experimental activities on ecologic education for primary classes, on the subject Sciences, signed by L.Ursu and S. Ginju. S. Cristea traditionally signs the rubric DICTIONARY, defining the concept of friendly school for children. |
